The car is a white 1992 Legacy SS 5mt with 164,xxx k miles on it. It is modded pretty heavily.

Motor is strong and car pulls very hard.

The bad:

The car has very little rust. Pretty much just has one spot behind the passenger side rear door.

The tranny has issues. It drives but 1st gear has let go.... so no 1st. Besides that the tranny works fine. Car has plenty of torque to start out in second and can still take most cars on the road!

The good: very well maintained, new timing belt, doesn't eat oil or coolant and has all sorts of go fast goodies.

Here's my mod list for my '92 Legacy SS.

Engine/Exhaust:

*EJ22T
*Removed snorkus
*K&N filter
*Muggified stainless steel resonator delete
*Samco Y-pipe
*MY02 WRX TMIC
*Denso Audi 5000-T DV
*Paranoid Fabrications Single point grounding kit
*Deadbolt's, Monster TD05H-16G turbo w/black Xtreme ceramic coating on the hot side and normal grey ceramic on the cold.
*Walbro 255 fuel pump
*Diamond coil pack
*Diamond Ignitor
*VRG3 Engine Control, Phase II FCD
*Joe-P MBC
*STI Group N engine mounts
*CES Racing Systems Liberty RS 3" SS semi-race (catless) turbo-back exhaust with ceramic coated twin dump down pipe (DP03).
* CES, Boost Enhancement Plate (BEP).
*Supercat straight through 3" resonator.
*Supercat straight through 3" muffler w/ 3" straight tip.
*Carsound 3" high flow cat. Swap in for emissions tests.
*CES Racing Systems up-pipe and cross-pipe.

Drivetrain:

*ACT Streetlite Flywheel 13.9 lbs.
*SPEC Stage 1 clutch w/2600 lb pressure plate.
*STI Group N tranny mount
*new shifter bushings

Brakes:

*Mountain rotors in front.
*Bradi rotors in rear (vented).
*Axxis Metal Master pads

Wheels/Tires:

*16" WRX wheels with RE-92's
(these have severe damage to one wheel and tires are bald but the car will drive no problem with them.. You will need one replacement WRX wheel and new tires very, very soon though)

Interior/Gauges/ICE:

*Pilot steering wheel
*Momo aluminum shift knob (euro subaru edition)
*Autometer Phantom Boost gauge 30-0-30 vac/boost
*Alpine 7830 CD
*Clarion 6.5" all the way around.

Extras that will go with the sale.

*3.9 rear LSD
*Autometer Phantom EGT gauge (brand new in the box)
*MY03 WRX TMIC w/oem BOV.
*Set of '91 SS GR2's with STI Groupe N top mounts and Tein GC8 springs up front and cut rears.
*OEM clutch, pressure plate
*2 OEM EJ22T flywheels
*extra airbox
*Wagon wiper fluid tank with dual pumps (for intercooler spray)
*Pair of windshiled fluid spray nozzles for intercooler spray setup
*front rotors that are in good shape but need turned.
*OEM stteering wheel
*OEM Shift knob
*OEM fuel pump (works perfect, only took out to upgrade to walbro)
*extra exhaust manifold
*extra OEM cross-pipe
*MY05 STI 90 degree elbow (turbo to y-pipe pipe)
*MY02 WRX hoodscoop (painted to match)
*Extra drivers seat
*OEM AM/FM/cassette deck.

There's probably more but that's all I can think of right now.

Those members that know me here on the board know that I am borderline anal about maintaining this car, so it has been very well cared for.

Over all I rate it in good shape inside and out. Paint on the spoiler is flaking and around the gas cap the paint is bad from a spill involving race gas.

I'm asking $4,000 OBO for everything. The exhaust, turbo and rear diff are worth $3,000 alone so I think it's a pretty good deal.

No lowballs please. I'm already loosing my ass on this.
:-D

whoa whoa whoa

I go off to college and I miss Phil getting rid of his SS and now you too Matt?

I'll second Phil and say it's a shame, anyone who buys Matt's car will be in for a treat.

Hmm... now if I could only stretch what money I do have.

PS: Congrats on the Managership Matt, how do you like that Best Buy down the block?

I'm going to venture a guess and say that the edit on the first post is Matt making the price $4000.

The car is easily worth that, the amount of work and quality parts on and included in Matt's price a steal.

I know, it's sad Sam. I'm really going to miss her, I had Subarina for almost 9 years and was very attached to her. The really awful part is that the new owner still hasn't been able to pick the car up and so she sits in my carport and I have to see her everyday just sitting there wondering what she did to make me turn away from her. Poor girl, it's nothing she did either, it was my fault she kept breaking because I kept pushing her and couldn't afford to get her a proper tranny. :(

It's kind of an end to an era......

Sorry she's sitting in your carport Matt, circumstances just didn't work out to favor you two. Star-crossed lovers and that sort of thing.

I guess next Summer you'll have to organize a Legacy Central Feed and Reminisce...

...or perhaps a Feed and Cruise, you know, hop on some 10-speeds and cruise the Susquehanna Valley at 25 mph. I know some decent trails along Penn's Creek if roads aren't everyone's thing. It'd still be cool to get that Mongolian BBQ again. Aw, the memories.

Well, Subarina is now in AZ. I've already started giving her the good treatment. Gave her some Seafoam today, tomorrow (hopefully) she will get some German Castrol. +1 for Matt as he has been an excellent seller...you can tell how much he loved the car.
