Polling interest in high-quality cold-air intake

In talking with Christian at Modern Garage i told him that i'm
looking for a high-quality cold-air intake and that i knew of a group
of people that would probably be interested in one as well.
Since the present solutions are all under-hood, and we all know how
hot the Turbo compartments get, i've been looking at various
possibilities and the PRM i posted about previously was the closest
to a reasonable solution as i'd found.
This would be a system that would probably fit both a Turbo and non-
Turbo 90-94 with very little change. The resonator would be removed
and replaced with an aluminum or steel tube and necessary fittings.
An adapter for the MAF would be crafted and the tube would make a
long turn into the fender where the resonator usually resides. In
there we'd have the filter, shielded from the elements by the fenders
and plastic guards but well away from the hot underhood air.
The theory is that with the larger tubing, cold-air placement and
long tracts, any damage to the MAF is almost impossible because the
intake tubes will be so long. At the elbow on the fender we'd likely
use the existing bolt-hole to mount a rubber gasket for addes
stability and to keep the MAF from getting any shock.
If i can get enough interest and support, i can take my car in and
have Christian and his fabricator take pictures and measurements and
generally be a guinea pig for the whole thing.
Price would likely be at least $200, as it'll be high-quality and
cold-air. This is a new but very dedicated shop with a skilled staff
and excellent fabricator. Pictures of the product in development
would be supplied for sure.
If i wasn't confident in their abilities i'd never even bother
mentioning it.
So, what do you think? It'd be nice to have at least a half-dozen
people going for it.
