Hey I’m trying to diagnose a fuel cut problem so took off my intake manifold just to check to make sure everything was hooked up ok. Well I was looking at the knock sensor and I noticed the connecter looks a little messed up. So my question is what should I do because Subaru doesn’t sell those connecters separately and I’m no wiring genius.

The connector on the knock sensor side, or the connector on the chassis side?

Cut off both male and female parts of the connector and solder in a new spade connector.

There is shielding in the stock cable.

But you are only taking out the connector, shouldnt you be able to bridge the shielding with some other wire?
