anyone have ground control coilovers on their subies?
love 'em / hate 'em?
looking to replace the stock suspension on my 91 ss, agx's and gc coilovers were what i was planning on.
also...
i hate to beat it to death, but 04+ wrx springs / coils will fit rear and front.
do i need new perches or tophats for any of this? recommended?
thanks. (for answering old questions

Dont most AGX's have the big spring perch for large diameter springs?
I have STI inverted struts w/ Ground Control sleeves. When I got them they already had the big spring perch dish cut off and just had a small ridge area where the aluminum sleeve sits.
Keep in mind its a DIY job.
As for the '04 take-offs, dont bother plus I dont think the rear will fit because of the different bolt pattern and you cannot rotate the mount. Stick with the AGX's. You shouldnt need new top mounts but it would be a good idea to snag some STI Group N mounts front and rear for added stiffness.
Most of the people on here havent bothered with the "coilover sleeve" kits. I had access to Ground Control's inventory.
So do you plan on buying a lowering kit f rom GC and then AGX's? You are getting close to full coilover prices then, so you mine as well get some Teins.

yeah, my original plan was to purchase gc coils, and then agx struts. although i've heard problems with the agx's and anything lower than 1" below stock (correct me if i'm wrong).
so i'm still figuring out what i'd like to do, but I've got a nice 4 day weekend coming up here thanksgiving
probably stay away from 04 takeoffs.
still open to suggestions. should i just go for it?
Just have to hunt down some GroupN mounts and find a decent source for the AGX's.

::edit:: now i'm either debating going with a true coilover setup (for GC8) or just saving money and finding decent springs and struts.
