Aftermarket Alarm/Doors/Start/Trunk System

So, I got one of these nice systems for Christmas. I have a few questions about it before I get going on the wiring (someone with electrical knowledge could chime in :)).

1. Where should I get a +12v lead? I don't really wanna strip more wires than I have to, but I would like to get one that's hot all the time.

2. The trunk release is going to be a pain because it's not electrical. Is there a way I could add an actuator to this so I could use the release system? The alarm set didn't come with any actuators (but, I just got one for the door). Would it be possible to use a door one for the trunk or do I need a different type?

3. I think I've got the door system figured out...it's just a matter of getting the actuator and setting it correctly to unlock the doors.

TIA for any advice.

Where are you putting the alarm brain? You could tap into the ECU/TCU wiring, or the radio constant 12v leads.

Yes you can get an actuator for the trunk. Not sure how you'd mount it, but in theory it can be done.

you need a good strong 12 volt constand and considering you'll need to access the starter wire for the kill switch relay I'd reccomend getting it at the main harness at the steering column. That is where the pros get it. I can email you the car wire color guide for every wire you'll need to tap and its location if you want. I had it on thawa.net but that galery is no more and considering I was never allowed to join the new gallery I could email it to you. oh and they make special "trunk pop solenoids", thats what you want to ask for at any install shop.
