hey peop's,
we have just finished re-assembling a manual conversion on a 92 GT facelift legacy.
i have check all wires going into the fuel pump and its not getting a live feed.
we're not even getting the prime when ignition is on ACC.
the pump itself is fine.
Also(if this is any help) we're not getting all the dash board lights as well.
so i tapped into the main power(+) at the pump end and it worked pouring out petrol under the hood.
so i guess the problem is some where amongst all the wiring under the kick plate???
or maybe the computer isnt working??
any help would be greatly appreciated
thanks Malla

I beleive there is a fuse for the fuel pump somewhere, i guess thats a good place to start.
But sounds like you got a leak somewhere in the fuel line.

Connector under the back seat might be fried. This is known to happen on occasion.

there is a relay tucked up behind the drivers side dash.. it could be bad... u might of missed a connector or something when you hooked things back up. i would start with the easy places like the wiring connector on the pump itself... the fuse... and so forth.
sux having wiring issues like this but all you can really do is start from one end and work your way to the source.
hope you figure it out cause an auto to manual swap is definitly rewarding when its all done

There's no fuse. Only a relay. However if you're not getting dash lights, you've probably got a wiring issue or something you missed.

upon completion of the GT conversion,i have started this week on my 89 RS.
droping in a new enginge,i decided to change the cam belt myself.
i know how to line everything up but im stuck on the tensioner.i had a feeling that i had to put a pin through to hold in place but ignored my intuition.so when the tensioner popped off, i cant seem to push the damn thing back in.
any ideas??
thanks Mal

You need a vice or a c-clamp....and need to very slowly compress the timing belt tensioner.
