I'm in the process of swapping to a JDM TD04. I have all three bolts holding the turbo to the uppipe but it seems to be hanging up on the lower coolant line. It looks like it's right under the turbo. How the heck do you get that line off??

sooo close, I may be able to get it all pulled apart tonite if you godlike members can help a poor slob out. Thanks!!

If the line is right below the turbo, its probably the oil return line. All you should have to do is pull the turbo straight up and the turbo should come loose. The collant lines are on the right side of the turbo.

Done, thanks for the info.

Now all I have to do is figure out how to reroute/replace the PVC F-tube since the compressor outlet runs smack into it.

This is turning into an episode of "American Chopper"

....Ya know, the project was goin pretty good, but then we ran into some problems....

Vin, he got this idear that we should drill a hole through his head, and then my DAD walked in......

OK, so where did you block it off? I cant see how to keep that piece in there with the compressor outlet and the PCV valve routes back to there so you can't just plug it...or can you?

your not going to want to block that hose. try a search, there are lots of threads on re-routing those lines. The crank case needs to breath.

"american chopper" seems to always be the way when you start messing with something. good luck

well it looks like I can just run a line straight from the block to the PCV valve. Thanks for the info again

And I do EXHAUSTIVE searches on this stuff before I post.
