EJ20G coils

The Legacy heads and WRX heads apparently use different coils.
I grabbed a set of SVX coils and ignitor as spares in case my EJ20G had a dead coil or two. The SVX coils do not fit on a Legacy EJ20G. Supposedly the SVX coils do fit the WRX EJ20Gs.
Can the SVX coils be made to fit by changing to the WRX valve covers? Or would you need to swap over to the complete WRX EJ20G heads? I'm guessing the later, but looking for a bit of verification.
