20psi is bad

that's what happened to a guy here with an Automatic 91 legacy Turbo.
the car was acting strangely, boosting 20psi for a very short period on hard accelerations, then going back to 10psi.

but once, it just did a little boom.. :)


look at the left side of the piston...

Boom, can you see the broken connecting rod trougth that "little" hole ? :)

he sold the complete drivetrain to is mecanic (to sell in parts)

he installed a Manual WRX engine into is 91 legacy, the perfect Sleeper !! :) they are currently finishing the swap, can't wait to see that running ;)

in the area, they are inexistant, even the L are hard to find :\

The stock EJ22t should be able to handle 20 PSI with proper engine management. Im assuming this was the result of some heavy detonation or pre-ignition knock? no intercooler? just curious where the engine was at when it blew.
