Ok I have a 92 ss and I really feels as if I own a huge cadillac or something ... the car just hates corners and most importantly it bounces all over the place .... w or wo bumps ...

BTW I have stock suspension (no leaking from the struts) and worthless tires

My question is what are you guys riding on .. and how is it working out for you guys?

OHH and I drive my car in lots of snow (Canadian Winter) and heard that high spring rates can decrease traction in snow..

My philosophy = cheap, safe .. but mostly cheap

Your suspension is shot. Get new struts first. KYB GR2s are excellent, cheaper, and more durable than OEM struts. They are only a little stiffer than stock, IMO, just how the OEMs should have been. They won't adversely affect your snow traction.

the next thing you should do is get some good tires.

if you want a great performing tire that is a real ALL SEASON tire i strongly suggest the Nokian WR.

it is by far the best tire i have owned for daily driving.

normally all seasons end up being ok at everything ie. good in winter and fair in summer.

the WR is awesome in snow and ice and handles very good in the summer. it is a bit loud though. but not annoying, just noticeable.

Cheap things you can do in addition to struts and tires:

-steering rack bushings
-swaybar bushings
-solid endlinks

Also just get separate summer and winter tires.
