Hey guys I am helping Dale out with a new website design.

I was trying a quick top logo/banner and was wondering what you guys thought of it...

So here is my mockup banner revision 1 (Dale said it would be cool if it the three pics actually had subies in them so if you have a pic you wouldnt mind sharing that would be a great help!)

Any input whatsoever would be extremely helpful

Thanks
Spencer

BTW I will probably replace the legacy turbo outline with an STi

Kinda plain and looks like it was done in MS Paint.

I suggest the 1st of the 3 images have a road that is running horizontal so your outlined car looks like its traveling on the road.

Also, outline the lettering to make it stand out alittle...

Other than that, its not a bad banner... except, what do tree's and snow have to do with subaru service?

What to trees/rain and snow have to do with subaru service???

Maybe you havent realized that subarus are not only tarmac cars?

A subaru can be driven on snow... through the mountains and forest and obviously on the road as well...

And it was done in photoshop CS3

Your right. I'm new to the whole subaru thing. I didnt know Subaru's were that versatile and could travel such terrain

Anyhow, what i was getting at was the terrain a subaru can travel doesnt really relate to the general service of the car. I would suggest pictures of maybe a split block, pistons, brakes, etc.... parts of the car that a "Subaru Service Group" would take care of.

Try taking pictures of parts with simple backgrounds or under different lighting, that might make them look better.

I like the new version. You covered the old, the popular and the new. The main title almost blends in or doesn't really pop out enough to quickly identify. The font & word art look nice, but almost needs to sit over top of a darker transparent area that washes out the background image.

I like the looks of this but I think it leans away from the service aspect. I guess I have some questions:
1. Who is the website for?
2. What is its purpose?

Okay so after all the work done on ^^^^^ I decided to scrap it... When I put it on the page it didnt look very good... Then i somehow lost the psd file so I couldnt just remov the words and keep the pics.

I just sent Dale Revision 1 of the Main Page, I think it looks good but that isnt what counts. We will see what he thinks.

It has the pics that are on the original site plus the STi above and a forester and a pic that Kelly shot of an impreza... I figured they were more hi-profile subarus than the old leggys no matter how much we love'em. Oh for the sake of publicity. Hmmm.

Well I will check in later and give ya a heads up!

BTW thanks to everybody who contributed!
