legacycentral bbs

hello everyone. i just bought a 1990 legacy and im pretty sure it needs a clutch. but also as i downshift sometimes it chatters and shakes. there is also a slight grinding sound coming from the rear of the car when it is accelerating but it stops when i push the clutch in. any other thouhgts as to what these problems can be would really be helpful.

Could be the throw out bearing, or the clips.
