Hey all, I've been a lurker for many months...this is a pretty awesome forum.

I moved back to VT this past spring and this summer I decided to pick up a car for some winter fun. I was torn between an Audi 4000S quattro and the old school BC Legacy. It was a battle of titans....the car needed to be a manual, not be totally beaten to death, and it needed to be fairly solid.

Eventually, I found a 1991 Legacy L AWD with a 5-speed. It had 189K on it, and the body was not bad. One owner car, and great maintenance records. The car ran great, was quiet and smooth, so I offered $800 and got it.

I'm currently welding up patches in some of the rusty spots and I slapped a cheap FlowTech muffler on it to replace the holey OEM unit. Next, I'm mounting some unstudded Blizzaks and she'll be ready for the VT winter!

Anyway, thought I'd say hi and I'm sure I'll be around some.

Thanks guys!

I'm a Saab guy mostly, but I've always liked Subies...now that I own a Legacy I'm liking them more and more!

Great cars, sturdy and unique...exactly what I like about Saabs too.

Welcome to our neck of the woods!

You'd likely be a fan of the Saabaru then. The Saab/WRX combo car.

Hi! Enjoy driving a car without torque steer. Or maybe you like that? :P

I've driven a 9000CSE, so I know SAABs can be decent fun.

Got pics of your Saabs?

I must confess that I've been eyeing NG900's lately.

I like the 9000's too, but if I'm getting a Saab, I want my ignition on the floor dammit!

Torque steer makes life more interesting 8)

Here are some pics of my 9-3. She's just about to go into hibernation for the winter...

The 9-3 is lowered 1.5" on Koni springs with Koni Sport adjustable dampers, I have a 24mm rear sway bar and rear tower brace. Engine wise the only mods are a K&N cone filter intake, 3" downpipe and sport cat, 2.5" SS factory sport exhaust by Remus of Austria.

She's pretty quick, especially from 40+, I'm planning on installing a larger intercooler, and MBC+A, and some Viggen brakes on it this winter....I was originally going to go for a software remap, I have all the hardware for Stage 3 (~260 WHP, ~280WTQ), but software reflashes bump you up lot of classes in the local autocross club, I don't want to be fighting the Miatas!

Yeah, I can't wait for snow...I bought a set of unstudded Blizzaks to play with.

Re: The Saabaru. I have always been a big fan...I test drove an Aero soon after they came out. I was really hopeful that Saab and Subaru could work together and make some cool stuff, not just quick badge engineering exercises like the 92x, but real common platform stuff.

Some of the hardcore purists saw it as blasphemy, but I'm a car fiend first, Saab nut second.
