Another "successful" PP6 install.

I am leaing away from the "easy" EJ20R swap with WRX ECU, and looking at installing a "built" 2.2 with DOHC heads and tuning it with the PP6.

AND since I have a PP6 sitting on the shelf, AND since for whatever reason, the current stock setup hates to go over 4200 rpm, I decided to at least install the PP6 and see if I can tune out the whack problem the stock engine/ecu is seeing.

So I spent the last hour wiring in the harness and then plugged in the bypass plug. Success! At least I wired it in correctly!

I will see if I can get the actual PP6 to work tonight if my laptop starts up.

Good to hear that...

We should start a thread to archive PP6 maps as folks come up with them. I'll be running one soon...

well, the success stopped tonight. for now,...

I went to actually use the pp6.

Whoops, the laptop was wiped clean. Reinstall the software.
whoops, go online and find driver for USB cord.
Whoops, since the laptop was was wiped, go back online and find a base map.

OK, all that done..... Now I can't get the laptop to find the pp6.... I do not know if it s the laptop, the pp6, or the wiring. I will test it on the redwagon tomorrow and see what the problem is...

The pp6 works, I am having laptop trouble with my "new" laptop. I used a backup laptop and installed a base map and it runs fine.
