Forester suspension on 91 Legacy... sways?

So I have the swap running with 2007 Forester springs and struts. I'm wondering what to do about the sway setup.

In the rear I don't know if I can use a standard whiteline turbo legacy bar. I have the WRX-style endlinks so I think I would use the bar for the later cars, but will they reach down to the endlinks since the suspension is higher? Would this be putting too much stress on the bar? If I need to use a Forester bar does it have the little bump in the middle to clear the bottom of the trunk panel?

And as far as the front - I have no idea. I have a 2004 STI crossmember so I assume I would use a bar for that, but I'm not sure. I still need to buy all the bushing mounts and stuff. Any input on this would be appreciated.

Thanks for any thoughts...

The car's getting a temporary alignment and the parking brakes reassembled now, I'll take pics soon. Just by looking it seems like it will be a long reach in the rear, but I'm no expert.

That's from the rear. Sorry for the crappy phone quality, my good cam never seems to make it to the garage. So yea, the sway mount on the lateral link seems to be pretty far from the body. Granted I have the big Kartboy drop links, but it still seems like a stretch. Do you think the whiteline turbo legacy sway will fit?

I never planned on running a rear sway, just a strut tower bar. I don't think it's gonna happen unless you take a stock one to napa and see if they have any that will fit from different makes of cars.

That height is tight. Got any side or front shots? Camera pic or not, people need to see what forester springs do to these cars.

I do, but I'm recovering from being hit by a car this afternoon so I'll post it later.

Crazy idea... if it doesn't fit, I flip the lateral links left and right and flip them so the sway mount is facing up? It's so crazy it might work... what do you think?

I thought about that. lol. I'm sure jamal has something to say, but I've got no advice for that action.

Legacy bars are the only thing that will work in the rear. You should be okay- Legacy and Outback bars are the same.

Up front the cross member and the control arms determine the bar. So you'll need a turbo bar for your Legacy control arms with STi bushings. So getting an 02+ WRX wagon fsb would be the easiest way to go since it comes with the right bushings. The sedan bars are wider because of the different control arms.

Just to make this more complicated... the front has an 04 STi crossmember, but the A arms are from a non-turbo 1991. So then what the hell do I do?

You'll be fine. Pretty much all the control arms are the same. It's just that if you were using the wider 02+ wrx sedan arms you'd need that bar.
