Door Ajar Indicator Malfunctioning

About a week ago I was driving around a corner at night and noticed that it got bright in my car, I figured that I must have driven under a street light. Then it happened again and I looked down and my dash said that my front passenger door was open. The problem went away once I started going straight again. Now it does that all the time, which has lead me to just turn off my dome light. It's also starting to do it on the driver's side rear door.
So what's the problem? Bad door sensor(s)?
My friend has the same problem on his 95 Impreza Brighton.

Yeah, it's probably a bad switch in the door jamb.

On my car the door sensor wire had shorted out in the chassis somewhere and I wasn't about to track that shiz. My domelight didnt work anyways, so I found the wire to the chime speaker and clipped it.

Try rotating the door sensor, putting a spacer on it with tape, or replacing it. It's easy to figure it out and make your car less annoying.

Haha definitely ghetto, but great work.
Yeah I found the problem though. The little rubber piece that goes over the actual switch was worn through and which didn't push the door switch in far enough. Should be easy to fix haha.
