Automatic Climate Control

Post by 93Subadan »

Found an automatic climate control unit for a 2003 Outback for sale on the list and I'm wondering if I could mod it into a 93 Legacy. Any thoughts?

Yeah but you would need all the switches and actuators for the vents and I'm not sure what else.

I personally think it would cost more than it's worth.

I have the stock one in my car that works great, I guess I was hoping it would just be a wiring deal, although I'll admit I know nothing about HVAC at this point

Oh wait. The stock HVAC as in the manual one or the auto-climate control one (it came in some US models)?

I have the manual HVAC in my car now, not the auto one.

Oh. Then yeah it would be more than just wiring. You have to install actuators to open the vents and whatnot I believe.
