How much of a PITA is the vavle cover gaskets on a 94 SS?

just looking for a rough estimate of time involved....

silly question but can it be done w/o pulling the motor... i know on STI's there is barely enough room in there to do plugs...

I recently asked th every same question... My leak was from the passenger side valve cover.

It is an easy job. Do a search for it and you'll find a few helpfull posts, but it is intuitive and quick.

I'd say it took me 1.5hr and a lot of that was spent cleaning up the cover making it all pretty-like before I reassembled. So I have a shinny pass side cover and no more burnt oil smell - yeah!

same deal... I'd remove the washer reservior to gain a bit more clearance, and replace the oil fill neck o-ring while it's apart too.

It's really easy - 3 bolts per valve cover

there really easy to do,just take your time and make sure you clean them out real well after you take them off. I did both of mine two weeks ago. No more leaking. now my power steering is going!!!, leak city

Make sure you replace the rubber "gaskets" on the nuts at the same time.
