ise...

feels like the thing that detects that the brake pedal is in is dirty...

gotta pump the brake (working to find the release) for it to engage the button on the shifter. shifts smoothly once engaged.

i assume this is in the handle itself...could it be something in the brake pedal?

also, there is a little bit of a whirring sound when pushing a bit (higher rpm/ up to highway speed)

this is from a test drive.

they think the whir is from ...i think they said "check ball"(something like this, i thinkit has to do with fluid/pressure) once engine is warmed up sound is less prevalant...cold starts and it is more audible.

any similar experiences?

shifts fine. noise comes from the rear not all the way back though.

thanks!

one more on this one...rather than starting a separate thread..

do these thing pul a little to one side when accelerating

when letting go of the wheel and stepping hard it pulled to the right a bit...

nothing dramatic...just a little pull to the right.

I bet the shifter and lock out solenoid need lubed.

Without hearing the whir sound my first guess would be a wheel bearing.

it isn't a pulsing whir...doesn't sound like bearings i've had go bad in the past with other cars...but maybe?

it is only audible when accellerating.
