two to four inches? just take the springs out since you'd be riding on the bumpstops anyway.

Tein S-techs for an 02-03 wrx and some wrx front upper spring perches would do what you're looking for.

It would also make you car handle and ride like shit.

get pink springs, they are a pretty aggressive drop (1.5" is a lot on this car) and paired with STi struts I am loving the handling...

you want the RST-2116 Spring Set Impreza '93-'01 (GC/GF) $364

but the rates are about twice as stiff so you probably want an upgraded strut to match

and according to this you will need "Front Upper Spring perches"

so maybe it's a good opportunity to upgrade to GrpN top hats too.... because a full GC impreza setup will fit fine

this is the stance on those exact springs with 225-45-17s

Damn near perfect! Do you get any rub with the upgraded struts?

trying to make sure I understand your Q exactly...

the suspension is STi struts and hats with the STi pink lowering springs. It all went in at the same time.

at that time I still had 205-55-16s on there and there was slight rubbing in the rear under sudden heavy load like a speedbump at 20mph
but nothing serious

to fit the 225-45-17s on I had to bang on the quarters to fold the lip flush up agains the well and it actually moved the wells out a little bit also. now there is a bit of rubbing here and there but I just try to keep my eyes out for bumps and all is well. high speed off ramping is no problem, the car sits pretty square at all times. nice.

the struts seem a very good match with these springs

ya, this thread is triple hijacked =)

it isn't altered at all, from a WRX but bought it so long ago I can't remember which year it came off. It was originally WRB

OP - If you really want to lower the car that much your best bet is smaller diameter tires. I helped a friend lower his acura by about 3.5 inches while still maintaining some suspension travel with smaller tires combined with regular lowering springs. The other added benefit was better mechanical advantage to the road so the car felt faster.
