i got my new replacement oil pump in time before this coming
weekend overhaul build. i purchased the pimp from rockauto for a good price and fast shipping. but when looking at it, it seems that its a higher flow then the stock oil which is fine(i think stock is 7 or 8?)

by looking at the pictures i took, the new pump has a couple new bolt holes highlighted with red. my guess is that its for the new dohc timing belt cover. will this effect my sohc in anyway? i just wanna be sure my belt cover will fit with no problem.

Those are for the timing belt guard. Will work fine.

And just so you know, the 9mm pump is the standard for all the SOHC Ej25's. There's no reason not to use it.
