To curb corrosion under the door mirrors, pull em off and soak the spongy black foam attaced to the mount with Krown in a can or whatever rustproofer you want. This way its soaked with oil and protects the door, instead of holding in moisture/salt etc and eating away at it.

Good tip! To bad I didn't think of this last time I pulled the mirrors. I just fixed the bit of surface rust.
