Loud fuel pump?

I noticed my fuel pump seems loud in the SS. The dealer checked the records on the car and said the fuel pump was replaced oddly. Is it possible they put like a walbro fuel pump which is louder? Or is something else a issue that should be addressed? Thanks!

Since teh factory fuel pump is about $250 and a Walbro is under $100, that could be a safe bet.

That is what I figure. Just wondering what guys with walbro pumps have noticed.

Hmm, I don't really recall my walbro fuel pump being extra loud when I installed it. Sure, I can hear the fuel system priming (or whatever it's called), when I turn the key to the ACC position. But I can't hear it while the car is running -- somewhat hard over the rumble of the 3" TBE ;).

It will take max 1 hour and some tools to see what fuel pump you have.
