Anyone heard from Steve lately? Perhaps the gov't finally got him? Or maybe he's immersed himself entirely in the completion of his next book.
Well, as much as he hated us, being members of humankind, I hope nothing has happened to him.

Thank Obama and the Club of Rome, I'm finally out! That waterboarding did nothing and I fed them all bullshit. Do they really think we'll talk so easily? You don't nearly take over the criminal underworld with ignorant pansies that give up the Organization at first sign of wet Saran Wrap. Everything is going according to plan.

Too much responsibility. I'm just working for those tasked with taking over the criminal underworld as part of the New World Order. You can't create a global government if you can't control organized crime.

I think I've been doing too much writing lately.

Talk to my editor—she got offended by it and doesn't want to do it. And, no, what offended her was nowhere near as bad as Chapter 3 in Midnight..., but she's religious so you never know what those people will overreact to. Mark said he was going to see about fixing that by either bargaining with her or getting another editor as last resort (she did do a good job on the first one), but I think, though he carefully avoided specifically telling me, that with the bad market, it's on hold. I'm presently rewriting it now anyway to better integrate it with the last 2 books and fix parts that suck.

I'm doing an independent book expo in NYC in Nov. that my friend, an editor at a large publisher, thinks will be important as the big industry players were recently shocked into the reality of the changing market and will probably be scouting authors there. This is the first independent expo since they were smacked in the dick by reality and it's in their back yards, so here's hoping someone picks it up (by 'it', I mean series, of course). We have some great ideas for the display table as well with a scale model of the barn from Chapter 2 and an mp3 player giveaway that has the soundtrack loaded onto it.

Even more dream-world, some movie company is building a huge studio in Plymouth, MA and with the tax breaks to film companies and the legal gay marriage thing here, but not CA, and with all the gay people in Hollywood, there might be some movie producers and such spending more time in Boston. Maybe a book could somehow fall into their hands...

Know any movie people? They REALLY seem to need some new ideas. And supposedly every waiter and bellhop in Hollywood has a screenplay they've written under their beds somewhere. I think it would even better as a series on Showtime or HBO. Each book could be a season. Yes, that would work very nice.

So what is your book about? I don't know anything about it. Is it fiction or non fiction?

Literary fiction.
This is what I would like to change the description in Amazon to, but they don't allow it, the bastards:
Dante never felt like he fit in anywhere. That was until he joined the Evolution Movement--an organization seemingly dedicated to educating and elevating humanity to the next level, to bringing about a better civilization than the one we know. But as the body count rises and the darkness encroaches, Dante sees his ideals twisted by the corrupted actions of the deadly secret society whose ultimate goal he is only beginning to understand. Getting out won't be easy, though. The Evolution Movement has agents everywhere. And, of course, there's Diana. Does she love him, or is she loyal to the movement? And what price is Dante willing to pay to find out?
Midnight in a Perfect World is a prescient, disturbing look at what happens when our best intentions go bad, when finding a place to belong means losing yourself, and when doing the right thing means compromising your own happiness.

My friend came up with that. He's a writer as well.

You can also go to www.evolutionmovement.org, check it on Amazon, B&N, etc., or look at the thread in the Ashtray: Midnight in a Perfect World.
