amp wiring 91 Legacy?

I have a 91 Legacy Wagon, and I'm in the process of installing an amp but I could find any places to run the power wire from the battery through the firewall.

Are there any places where the wiring goes through the firewall that I could stick the amp wire through?

And if it comes down to drilling the firewall what would be the best place to do it, so as to not damage anything?

drill a small hole above where your clutch cable would go if you have cable clutch, if you don't have cable clutch there should be a hole there with a gromet in it. just slice a hole in that sucker.

Yeah just make sure you protect that wire so it doesn't rub the jacket off and ground out on your firewall. Also make sure you put a fuse that is the right rating for the wire size you're running as close to the battery as possible.

Don't want your car going up in flames.

Also, if you already didn't know, run the signal cables down the other side of the car.

There was a hole in mine just above the driver side pedal with a rubber grommet in it, I just pulled it out, eventually I'll poke a hole and put it back in...

Thanks for the help. I have another question though, where should I route the power cable through the car? Because it seems like the bottom trim panels don't want to come off? ..are there hidden screws in them?

I also found another spot to run cabling through:

You can just pry the rubber piece off with your fingers, after removed, it's a straight shot through to behind the glove box. This is what it looks like, once removed:

I ran my wiring through the excess rubber on the throttle cable. Just slit a hole and fed the wiring through. I've run a few different sections of wire through there, as well as the clutch cable grommet.

I meant as in where should I route the wire through the car to the back, where the amp sits?

Mine is going through the middle of my car, lol. I really just wanted it in right then when I did it. At some point when I figure out how to get the center console up, I'm gonna run it under that, then under the small patch of carpet on the hump in the back, under the back seat into the trunk.

Yeah....Mike's install is very good. I didn't even go to that extreme....and I'm pretty anal retentive :)

Biggest thing is to keep the power away from your RCA's.

Not quite. A "straight up bitch" car is something like an audi where the speakers are fucking rivited into the doors. or ANY cadilac
