I'm not sold on the whole idea, but I do think it would look better if you didn't take the black all the way down to the bottom of the front bumper. It has kind of a funny hour-glass look. I'd stop the black on that body line on the bumper that is right above the license plate, below the grille.

Looks like something I would've thought was awesome when I was 17 and then regretted when I was 18. Don't do it.

My sentiments exactly...
Although I could probably be persuaded to like it just on the hood.

NOO!!!
I saw you at WBM. You were leaving the mountain as I was heading there and your car is perfect. I was telling everyone that your car is exactly what I would do if i were to buy a newer one.
I, personally, believe that the black stripe takes away from the overall flow of the car, with the white on white look.
that's just my $0.02, do what makes you happy as it is your car after all. lol

Ive gone back and forth in my head on your paint job so many times its nuts. SEVER mixed feelings.
1) it looks cool in a kinda ricer/racer kinda way. I like the way it looks.
2) I would never do that in a road going vessle i had respect for.
Ill admit to getting the occasional giggles out of the thought of buying a 1990 honda civic, leaving the mechanicals bone stock, Putting wide ass tires on it. a 4" exhaust tip, a ludacris body kit, and painting it some florescent color, and hanging "sponsor" stickers all over it.
But it isnt a serious thought... Just something fun to think about.
That being said this is all my personal opinion. Make your car how YOU want it to be. You car should make YOU happy. Fuck anyone that gives you shit for it.

I'm not big on the lower bumper part, but I think the main problem isn't the paint job itself as much as the association with ricers. Looking at it from the point of view of an imaginary better world where there are no ricers, the paint scheme doesn't look bad. Then again, I might be biased:
Though that's from the days when the proto-ricers were just emerging from the muck. I was actually thinking something along the lines of '70's Euro sports coupes. I outlined the black with silver pinstripe tape and used it on the trunk to partly hide the huge panel gaps

Eloquently put and exactly the point I was groping around to make.

Don't worry guys, It was just a mock-up to see if I really wanted to do it. still unsure.
