1: What size fuel pump does the 92 AWD 2.2L N/A Legacy wagons have? Most part stores have choice between 1.5" and 2" diameter pump?

2. ECU/ECM/PCM is located under the dash on the drivers side correct? Haynes claims ECM is on passenger side in the floorboard area behind the glove box?

1: I have no idea.

2: You are correct, Haynes is wrong. Once you pull of the knee panel, you'll see 4 yellow plugs going into a metal box. That box is your ECU.

1. Not sure either, but the Walbro 255 GSS341 is a direct replacement/upgrade for ours and works well.

The stock pump is I believe 2" in diameter. The walbro is smaller in diameter. Diameter put really isn't that big a deal, more so the flow.

gotcha. This is for a stock replacement. I doubt my stock 2.2L would need the extra flow and pressure from the Walbro pump? Cost wise I might be better off, but I know on my Roadmaster my walbro increased pressure enough that I had to redo some of the part throtle tuning.

I was mainly looking for the size because I need to check the strainer to make sure it's not all clogged up.

The stock fuel system will bypass the extra flow and not increase fuel pressure.

Fuel Pump is showing signs of dying. I see I can get most online Walbro kits for $100 ish, rather than $200+ for OEM. This is just a regular 2.2L N/A motor that will never need more fuel than what was designed for it.

Would I be better off buying a 190LPH pump, or should I stick with the standard output 255LPH pump?

I got a pump at Autozone that worked fine for a few years. May still be good for all I know, but the car's been sitting for 4 years. I think I paid about $70, but I could be way off, too. I figure a fuel pump is pretty simple, so a generic one wouldn't be as much of a gamble as starters and alternators.

I've seen first hand what cheap fuel pumps do in most cars, so I'm not sure if the subie is any different. I've never had a lick of issues with walbro units, and I figured for the price of most kits online, it was hard to beat just going to a walbro.

Yeah, the price of Walbros aren't bad, but I couldn't wait for shipping. I expect it to be dead when I bring the car back to life.
