'90 4EAT Tranny in '93 - TCU code 22

Is the B48.16 Barometric pressure sensor that the ECU pin-out sheet HERE (Thanks to Vikash and Josh) refers to the same as the TCU code "22 Atmospheric sensor " (Thanks to Josh's site for the info) refers to?

Is this the sensor on the passenger strut tower that has the same long, round plug as the Turbo's BCS sensor?

As noted in my Sig, I put my '93 SS back together as an NA (long story), w/a '90 EJ22e and a '90 (or '91) 4EAT (and rear diff). After swapping the cam/crank wires @ the ECU, I put in my '90 NA ECU and my '90 NA TCU.

After about the 2nd start-up, the Power light started blinking after starting and I got the "22" code.

The car still ran and shifted fine - couldn't tell any difference. But since I'll likely sell this, I didn't want any issues.

I put my extra '93 Turbo TCU back in and no more codes.

Does it make sense that swapping in the '93 TCU fixed this or just lucky (so far)?
Thanks

Yes the atmospheric sensor I believe is the same thing as the barometric sensor.

The issue is that on the non turbo cars, there's a barametric sensor in the ECU, and a wire feeding that info over to the TCU.

I'm not sure if the turbo cars are wired for this and have that jumper wire. So yes it would make sense that putting in the 93 turbo TCU would fix the problem.

Thanks Josh.

EDIT 7-28-11: The sensor on the strut tower is the 'dropping resistor' for the AT transmission NOT the Baro/Atmos sensor noted below.

FWIW, my '93 SS does have the Barometric/Atmos sensor on the pass. strut tower, just like the NA.

In the ECU, or are you talking about the wiring?

Wiring on the pass. strut tower.

The one on the strut tower is probably not going to work properly on the non-turbo TCU.
