They dont know who the stig is. Its a closely guarded secret like who killed JFK!
Actually I think that its different drivers although that would take the same driver, same course, different car part out of it.

I was wondering how they got a busy guy like him to be the stig this whole time but I guess it didn't quite click at the time. lol
