Injector knocking or something more serious?

Instead of hijacking NuclearBacon's thread, figured I'd start my own...

Anyways, in trying to track down why the ECU thinks there is knocking, I started to pay closer attention to the engine knocking on my car. I've noticed lately that after heavy driving, revving around 1000-1500 rpm, there is this weird knocking sound which occurs. Tonight, I made a short recording while idling in the driveway.

Audio recording

Does this sound like injector noise? If not, what else could it be a sign of?

Sounds like ticking injectors to me, but it's hard to tell without having your ear next to the source. If it's not your injectors then it would be a very slightly deflated lifter.

I'm more inclined to lean towards injector noise.

I'd say I'm 95% sure it's injector based on the sound file

My 440s were noisy too...but I doubt that's triggering the knock sensor

Yeah it's injector noise. The 550's sound the same way.

The past week or two, the passenger side (injectors?) have been noticeably more noisy after driving hard. I'm 100% sure this is a new sound and hasn't been occurring all the time. After ~10 min of idling (while I play with data logging), the noise can no longer be heard while slightly revving the engine. Being that ya'll think my normal noise is the injectors, it possible one/two of them are going bad?
Suppose I could go get them all tested/serviced by Dr. Injector...

Yeah, if you really wanted to you could take them to Doc Injector. I did when I was having problems and he had them done in about an hour and it was like $95 with tax.
