Driving up Highway 18 last night on my way to lake arrowhead to see my folks, car started acting funny. was running great but the drive train felt messed up either the suspension or tranny i have no idea. Get to the top of the mountain stop in a parking lot and the motor isnt idling funny but when i Rev it up its really raspy and im getting alot of vibration. Just went for a drive a few minutes ago to see if i could get it to do it again and the drive train or suspension still felt weird and was making noise, after parking let the car idle, idles fine, but reved the motor up again and same thing. Turned the car off let it cool for 15-20 checked all the fluids the only thing i noticed was it was little less then half a quart low on oil. Im totally stumped the vibration to me sounds like lose exhaust to maybe a rod starting to knock. I have no idea. any help would really help im totally stumped.

can anyone tell me how hard it is to change a motor mount?

Not hard. Pop nut for each mount. Jack up engine. Remove two bolts holding mount to block (14mm?). Remove old mount. Reverse with new mount.

I bet bad sparkplug wire,.....

Seriously though, unless you were honking on the motor previous to this, something SIMPLE is just causing misfire. Plugs, wires, whatever...

Is the CEL on (check engine light?)

no check engine lights and its got new plugs and wires less than a month old
