Put in a set of supertones on the Impreza this past weekend. They fit very nicely behind the grill. It's a shame there's not the same kind of room behind the Legacy grill.

The stock ones fit great behind my grill

I would guess the Hellas would fit fine behind a facelift grille.

why do all the guys want those hellas anyway? I'm curious. (i got some on my 91)

because they look sweet and are loud as hell

I knew it. I figured looks had something to do with it. Why else would people put them behind the grille. Its time for me to relocate so I can fit in too. Haha

I did not put mine behind the grill for looks. You can't even see them because they're black. I did it because it freed up my engine bay a bit and I'm hoping they'll be a bit louder up there and quiter in the car.

Yeah.....they look cool there, but it also maximizes the loudness of them since they are right up front.

I had to put the ones on my Legacy in the passenger area behind the bumper.
