Engine Clearances

I picked up the block, heads, and crank from the machine shop on Monday. They reground the valve seats and valves. They also found that there was a low spot in the middle of the heads. They took off 0.007" from the head surface. On the block side, they took off 0.010".

My question is regarding the tolerances. The FSM states grinding limits for both the heads & block are 0.004". Which is not much at all. Do any of you see any issues with removing what they did?

Those of you that have had the heads and block resurfaced, what was typically taken off?

Lastly, to check the valve to piston clearance, I'm assuming I need to have the pistons in the block and the cams back in the heads. Or is there another way to check those clearances without assembling everything?

I really would like to CC the heads. Do the Wiseco pistons have a listed/published volume for the dished area on the piston?

Thanks

Found info on the Piston box...duh.... Going to post some other info as well, and will try to update as I find more info.

Wiseco Piston Bore - 97.5 mm
Wiseco Piston Dome/Dish Volume - 20 cc
Eagle Rod Length - 5.137"

CC'd the heads this weekend.

They came out around 44 cc

The stock heads without being milled are supposed to be 46.6 based off this info.

Here's some pictures from testing the heads

only way to check clearance would be with a dial indicator for the valves at full travel and piston height with gasket thickness taken into account Ect.I had pretty much the same work done and am using the same pistons with no probs, that little bump in CR will help with your good tune anyways.
