(problem solved, no useful info. please delete)

have checked fuse appears to be ok. will put a new one in and see if that works. going to try the horn to see if it works and if it does then the fusee is good, then not sure where to go from there. the bulbs are dual fillament and the 1rst fillament works so maybe the second is bad for the brakes. turn signal, backup lights and running lights work just not the brake lights. also the the third brake light, the one in the car doesnt work either so it cant possibly be the bulbs. is there a relay i can check. i kind of out of ideas

Probably the brake light switch at the pedal. The probability that all the bulbs went out at the same time are pretty slim, and that is the only other real thing that all of them have in common.

there is another number that was wrote on the box 2C8 dont know what it means. autozone sells one for like 20 bucks but they didnt have any in stock.
