92 Legacy Turbo Wont Start When Hot

So....... I'm new to the forum. I have a 92 Legacy turbo manual transmission. It will not start on its own when the motor is warm. Here are the symptoms: It starts with some coaxing when its cold. It will run all day and run well. If I turn it off when the motor is warm it will not restart until the motor cools. If you spray starting fluid into the air box when the motor is warm it will start. It is getting no fuel when cranking at operating temperature. I am stumped and could really use some advice.

Welcome to the BBS.

I would suggest starting with the coolant temp sensor since it controls the fueling, and start up enrichments.

Other thing it could be is the fuel pump or relay.

Both the coolant temp sensor and fuel pump relay are brand new. I'm thinking this has something to do with fuel cut. Maybe the turbo is getting too hot and telling the motor not to start?

Have you put a fuel pressure gauge on to see what the pressure is when you're experiencing the problem?

Yeah Brian this is Chris. I have not yet tested the fuel pressure at cranking. I have assumed that the fuel pump is working because it always has power (tested with a meter), and because the car runs fine when you get it started. I really appreciate the advise.

I think it'd be a good idea to check the pressure and just rule that out as a probable cause.

I took it to a shop. They couldn't figure out what was wrong. Then it fixed its self. I guess I'll have to wait for it to do it again before I can start diagnosing again.

my 1992 Legacy Turbo will start when warm, but takes a lot of cranking then.

Checked fuel pressure on test mode, solid 3 bars when fuel pump comes on.
Fuel pump is a fairly new Walbro 255 l/hr pump.

Coolant temp sensor seems okay, checked the readings through the select monitor and always gives about the right value as also indicated by the dash meter.

Coils are WRX ones, with ignitor deleted.

As soon as it does start, it idles okay and drives fine all day. Just hard starting when hot...
Would replacing the spark plugs do any good? Never changed them since I got the car.

See injectors. Can leak. I have a similar problem.

I had them removed and cleaned about 3 weeks ago and far as I know, mounted correctly.
On another board it was suggested to clean cam- and crankpositionsensor
