Wire Broke Off Of Connector

Tooling around the other day with my car to get it started (unplug coolant temp sensor, put in resistor) one of the wires that go into the plug snapped. :x

It broke off pretty close to the connector, and I managed to successfully solder it back into place for now, but it is certainly not a strong fix.

I was wondering, should I get a whole new connector + lengths of wire to splice into the harness wires, or should I just get a new pin for the broken one?

And I just realized that I should have posted this in the electrical section, sorry.

If you're doing the resistor thing on a regular basis, I would wire in a relay switch of some sorts that you can enable/disable from the cabin with a toggle switch. That will keep you from connecting/disconnecting old brittle wiring/connectors.

It wouldn't hurt to get a new connector with some length of wire to connect things back up.
