Forged Internals

I'm sure that this question has been all over this form, but im brand new to the EJ22T. I have more experience building the EJ251 and the EJ255.
My question is. Are there any forged internals available for the EJ22T?

Rods are the same as any other turbo EJ motor.
Wiseco makes an off the shelf piston, others might also. Many go with custom pistons to better match the choice of heads.

Welcome to the BBS.
As PhyrraM mentioned, yes there are forged parts available. Wiseco pistons & Eagle rods seem to be the standard way to go unless you're really mixing and matching heads & block, then you may want custom pistons.

ok then do you guys suggest just getting a set of EJ205 heads, or EJ257 heads? If i could i would go for EJ207 heads but then again i dont really want to pay that much , i would rather just port and polish EJ205 heads

I'd suggest doing a little more research. The issue you get into when changing heads is that you need to match the intake manifold to the heads, which opens another can of worms with fitment, wiring, sensors, etc.
I'm not sure what you're planning to do with this motor, what car it's going into, what engine management, etc. All those things should be weigh in on your choice. A typical upgrade path for the EJ22t motor that is going back into a first gen Legacy is the EJ20G heads. Here's a link with some more info.

Thanks, i was just asking because i currently have a intake manifold from a 06 sti and the heads as well

I think you may run into issues with those heads. I would think the bore of those heads are matched to the 2.5 motor, and may not match up properly on the EJ22t.

OK thank you , I had them for my EJ251 but never got a chance to actually build it. I love this Forum everyone is so helpful, thanks guys. BTW Anyone know if there is a Difference between the 20G intake manifold and ours?

You can use your old intake. That will bolt ipod to p1 dohc heads.

Yup, phase 1 heads/manifold are interchangeable.

do you know if any after market intake manifolds are phase 1
?

Just catching up...
If you are asking if the EJ22T intake manifold will bolt to Phase 1 DOHC heads, then the answer is no.
All the phase 1 DOHC heads can swap manifolds between each other, but not between the SOHC versions.

im mostly just trying to find a intake manifold that is able to allow me to swap in a wrx td04 and run a wrx intake
