stalled out driving home

Post by $200_legacy »

so my 90l wagon stalled out on my girlfriend the other night5 when she was driving home. she ended up getting the car started again and made it home but she had to hold the gas down to start it. so i started it the next morning and it seemed to be running fine it came up to operating temp and revved up just fine. as i was taking it to do a test drive i turned the wheel and it stalled again and wont start. i checked the codes and found 22, 23, 32. now ive always had an internittent problem with 22 and 32 but 23 is new. so i swapped out air flow sensro with a junkyard sensro and nothing changed. i have fuel going to engine and i have spark going to plugs. plugs looked ok but im going to cleam them tonite. i also pulled the timing covers and all my marks line up. does anyone have any ideas? thanks for the help.

I'd suggest clearing the codes, drive the car, and then see what codes come back.

You can still clear the codes by pulling fuse 14 for about 30 minutes, and then check again after trying to start the car.

I'd suspect the MAF sensor. Unplug the MAF sensor connector and then try and start it.
