The latest version of revscan (v1.1) can check and reset codes. Expand ECU -> Error Codes. Give it a few seconds to query all of the stored codes. Then you can right click on each code and clear it.
If you right-click on just ECU and select 'reset memory', it's same thing as the CEL code reset procedure you do with the jumpers under the dash. Turn the car off and wait 30 sec to complete the procedure.
While you have RevScan open, you should check your Octane Factor parameter. 100% means all is good. Anything lower is a sign the ECU is retarding timing (and potentially adding extra fuel depending on the level) due to detected knocking.

BSOD2600, just so im clear;
Have the ignition on (or started)
right click ecu
select clear codes
shut ignition (car) off and wait about 30 seconds or so to complete the procedure

Yea, thats the basic idea. I seem to recall when you reset the ecu with revscan, it'll actually say leave the car off for X seconds.
Before you even bother to attempt the ecu reset, make sure the connection is established. I always did this by double-checking that an engine parameter would show up after enabling it.

Did you look in the ECU -> Logging section?
