Our 92L is throwing off code 31. I looked it up and see that it is the TPS. A junkyard run is in our immediate future. Only one thing is stopping me...where is it?

My Haynes book does not identify its location. thanks

It's the black rectangular box on the throttle body in this picture

I'd suggest checking the TPS before replacing it. Here's the instructions for testing it.

Scan #3 is really the only thing you can adjust the TPS by. So I would check the idle switch if everything else checks out ok, and adjust the TPS according to the instructions in that. If you do snag another TPS, you will need to adjust it according to the instructions in scan #3 when you put it on your throttle body.

Josh, will I need to adjust the boneyard part if I leave it attached to the throttle body?

Technically....no you shouldn't have to. That is assuming it's calibrated properly originally.
