Got a new headlight restoration kit recently, unlike the 3m kit (which is pretty good) it has a clear coat that is UV activated/protected.
Before
After much sanding/buffing and adding the clear coat...
Re-installed in the car
Cured them for ~20 mins each with a UV lamp, the kit recommends only 10 minutes. Well, 20 is not enough I think I'll do an hour per headlight next time. (fingerprinted the left hand side re-installing it.)
The kit is still at the shop I'll let you guys know the brand name of it on Monday. It was not a cheap kit, our shop cost was $70

Our shop's supplier said that it is a kit that Ford is backing/recommending. Has a 3 year warranty as well. I'll let ya know more on Monday when I grab my kit from work.

Awesome! I'd like to treat the Focus before it ages and the Legacy, if I ever do anything with it, so i don't have to weld new lenses in over the projectors again.

Thanks for the info, that's interesting about the UV cured clear coat.

According to the site this is intended to be done on the car, and takes 8 hours to fully cure (they don't say it out right, but mention you must wait 8 hours before washing the car).
I find the UV cured sealant interesting, I have to wonder how much better it works than the clear coat most people use for the same purpose.
