Is it possible to buy new bearings instead of reusing the old ones when replacing a boot? If so what size and grade bearings should be used.

Your best bet is to call a CV axle reman place like www.cvaxles.com or www.ccrengines.com/mwe to see if they have or can get you the new ball bearings.
