SMT6 on an NA car

Searched, and found a few topics, but nothing that really answered my questions...

1. Will the stock narrowband be able to be wired into the SMT6 for the "auto-tune" feature for trying to hit a certain AFR? Not sure if the stock O2 sensor will be able to read into the high 12's, low 13's just fine.

2. Anyone have a good base map for an EJ22 that isn't turboed?

3. Can we advance the timing on this older ECUs? I've read that on the newer (95+) ECU's the stock ECU won't allow for timing advance, but it will allow for timing retard.

Looking to get a bit more pep in the rally car, and take advantage of some 93 octane.

Are you asking about the SMT6 Perfect Power piggy back unit?

No, the stock narrow band O2 sensor can not be used for the auto tune feature.

I don't think you can advance timing with the PP6, but I'm not 100% sure on that. I'd have to read over the documentation that came with it to check.

I'm pretty sure that you can not advance timing with the PP6. Basically was worthless using it to tune for E85...could not reap the benefits of higher octane fuels.
