				N/A No Code issue

Engine idles fine but dies at 1500 RPM. No CEL and can't figure it out. TPS was recently adjusted and new O2 sensor installed so I could pass emissions.
Put in new fuel filter. No change.
Checked timing. "Looks" fine.
Swapped cam sensor. No change.
Left cam pulley looks like it wobbles at idle but that may be an optical illusion as there is no play in it.
Any ideas?

MAF? Is yours the Hitachi metal (same as '91-94 turbo models) or JECS green label (all '92-'98/99 NA EJ22/EJ25 Subies) MAF? I'd try swapping w/a known good one.

Actually it looks like I slipped a tooth. Replacing the timing belt tonight so I'll see if that fixes it. If not I'll swap out the MAF.

How did you adjust the TPS? Was it per the instructions in the factory manual?

Replaced timing belt. No change. Checked fuel pump and all is well there. Next is the MAF. If that doesn't work then I'll wait a week or two until I pull the engine and put it in my "new" ride.

New MAF. No change. Fuel pressure at 32. Compression at 130 for 1&2, 135 for 3&4. New injectors and new plugs. No change. Now I'm absolutely baffled.

It ended up being a clogged cat. How retarded!!! I guess the only good thing is I did a COMPLETE tuneup and went through the engine from top to bottom so it's ready for the swap into the Imp.
