has anybody noticed when they install the walbro 255, that theyre unable to use the bottom 2 or 3 gallons of their tank, or is it just me? with the stock pump in i was able to get to all 16 or so gallons in the tank. now with the new pump in my car will start to cut out with a couple gallons left in there. could the pump sock have fallen off so that it cant get to the rest of the fuel? thanks!

Same here ive had walbro for several years, and stock for a couple before that...ive never had a fill up above 13 gallons. I do not believe I've ever run out if gas. Hmm...

Yeah, I dont know what the deal is. I remember having a conversation with Jake a long time ago. He said the pump on the drivers side is a manual pump (awd) and it siphons from that side to the passenger side. Dont know what the deal is with it. But ive never pumped more than 12. Maybe someone should drive with a gas can and see what really happens....?

Oh yeah I remember from when my friend and I installed the walbro...there is indeed a jet pump of some sort to get the fuel on the other side of the hump or something. Hmm..... yeah I wonder how reliable the secondary pump is.
Perhaps a gas can drive is indeed in order to investigate.

It really depends on how the fuel intake sock is placed in the tank. You really shouldn't be getting any less out vs. the stock pump. The flow on the walbro may be more and it may not be able to suck fuel out at a lower rate, so it's cavetating and acts like you're running out of gas.
Regarding the jet pump, it's simply a venturi pump. There is no moving parts and as long as there is no obstruction it will always work.
