High idle/No boost

Got a 92 Legacy Turbo EJ22T 5 Speed. Currently having issue where if I start to get into any boost the car bogs down and almost a popping sound and I cant accelerate. I can only accelerate when not in boost. Running a manual boost controller and recently as of yesterday started doing this. Ran fine for a 1200 mile trip I did awhile back and now this. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated. Thanks

Do you have a boost gausge to verify you can't accel if its in boost? I had similar issues before except mine would fuel cut as soon as I hit boost and couldnt really drive unless I wasn't in boost. My atmosphere sensor that goes along to the map sensor was bad and that fixed the problem

Similar problem I had a while back, because you mention the popping sound, my fuel pump was going out. It ran fine enough to drive it to work and around town, but as soon as I tried to get on it at all, the car would bog and pop and stutter. the pop sound seemed like it was backfiring thru the intake.

Since you just went on a 1200mi trip, seems fairly logical.

I actually did find the issue after being able to take time and look through everything. Since I currently have no fender well covers installed the wiring loom was getting rubbed by my tire in dips and bumps because its lowered so tore it apart fixed any loose wiring and put it back together and all new once again. Put the loom back up and have not heard a sound since I did it my way.

Oh good, I'm glad it was an easy fix.

That should be a fair warning to all who run without a fender/liner! Including myself for over a year.

I haven't had liners for 7 years.

Not sayig not to do it, but that you should be aware of the possibility. If mine had worn down there, I dont know how long it would have taken me to check it to troubleshoot driveability issues.
