Hey guys.. bad news.. i have totaled my car.. description and
pictures in DLC... so sad to part with my Legacy that way..

Hey Mark, ICBC says my car is in Queenbrough salvage yard now.. u
might wanna get some parts off my car? or do ICBC just keep write
offs there and u can't get used parts from those cars?

Damm, that sucks!
You can pull some aftermaket parts off usually with out penalty. They look
at how the car came stock for pricing. But you have to do it, I cant. To
bad it is going to end up at Aldergrove Autowrecking...

I read the story, that sucks. You might have wanted to add very little
brakes while you had the throttle on to get more grip on the front end.
Email me if you are allowed to remove any parts before it goes to the auction.
I feel sorry for you, are you going to get another Legacy?

You must have hit some oil on the road. I have those Kuhmo 712's on
the front of my car and I have tried my best to get those to let go
and I can't, the back slides out nicely now.

Nicely tuned suspension also helps in this sort of situation because
the snap back is not so harsh, due to less body roll. I have a set of
Group N bilstein struts all round, and lowered progressive springs.
With this setup my car handles increadible. My cousin had the same
year car with Koni adjustable struts and he could even come close to
me in cornering.(pissed him off big time) so he has now purchased a
Porsche 911, I don't like the handling on the Porsche, takes a bit of
getting used to. It will be interesting to see the comparision on the
race track.

ya.. it does suck!

ICBC towed my car to the salvage yard before i could take any parts
off my car.. i didn't even get my 3 weeks old NGK plug wires and my 3
month old K&N filter off the car.. but at least they took off the
turbo timer for me.. but they didn't get the wire harness with it!
argh.. i still haven't got the price estimate of my car.. i phoned
the estimator so many times but its always answering machine.. i
leave a msg each time but still haven't had a call back..

I don't think i could remove any of those parts.. but i will ask the
estimator when he phones back..


It might have been some oil.. becoz its weird that my car was
intially understeer at that point.. and when the rear wheels hit that
part of the road, it start to oversteer.. hmm...
