Dumb q time: 1 or 2 trans mounts?

The title says it all. Do we just have 1 transmission mount in the legacy ss 5mt or 2?
Had a mechanic tell me yesterday that both my motor mounts were still fine (recent group n replacements) but both my transmission mounts were shot.
I keep thinking there is only one mount... This one, right?

Do we in fact have 2 of these or just 1? If just 1, what the hell was the mechanic talking about? I was distracted by my fiancee and not there to see the car up on the rack for myself so I'm confused...

There is only one on the 5mt, he might be calling the pitch stopper a mount though since it does bolt into a bracket on the trans and to the firewall.

There are also rubber mounts that hold the x-member together, front and rear.

there is only one "transmission mount", but there are two bushings that hold the three parts of the transmission crossmember together.

I personally wouldn't bother with the pitch stop mount. They don't really fail and when upgraded to the harder rubber bushing material they create a lot of noise (NVH) behind the dash.

But it looks like a dogbone mount and the mechanic said both mounts are shot. You think he was referring to the crossmember bushings? I got all 3 (sti tranny mount, whiteline xmember bushings, sti pitch stop)
Gonna get it all installed this next week. Whole city's shut down due to the snow. (I've had the roads and parking lots to myself, whee!)
....also, I've stopped driving the '94 for the time being because the transmission shifts and feeling has been horrible lately, it does feel quite loose and clangs around. I feel as though I could have noticed an issue earlier but, well, I didn't

I can get you the hookup on Subaru Extra-S gear oil. I can guarantee your trans will feel new after you fill her up with this stuff. Nobody in the area sells it except my shop (SSI).

How many miles total have you put on since then? Usually I'd recommend about every 50k.

Oh lol not even 10k yet. I'll see how it feels after the mount and pitch stop and x member bushings.
Thanks!
