Hi,

I'm just about to start looking to buy a '92 ish scooby legacy, and
wanted to know the best things to look out for when looking at them.

I'm in the UK, and will be looking at the turbo version.

am I right in thinking its a 2.0 litre ???

anyway, I am used to driving turbo based cars, so know what to look
for in a turbo, but am totally new to flat 4 engines.

what abouts mods, can I run it at 14 psi ?? or is that too high ?
what is the safe limit ?

I currently drive a celica gt4 - selling if anyone is interested ?

anyway, any advice would be good

thanks

Barry

Going to a legacy is an improvement...
You need to keep an eye on the transmission, make sure it shifts smoothly.
Its not too major to fix if you can do it yourself, service departments
charge a fortune to do it because it is all labour, cheap parts. Yes in the
UK it would be the Turbo 2.0, North America is still jealous...

Search the archives for any subjects you might be interested in,
we've covered just about everything at least once.

It is 2.0l, DOHC and there are tons of mods for it if you find the
right places.
