Rear diff/ Drive shaft problem

So i bought a 93 legacy wagon and the guy before me had a shop change the rear diff since the one it it was going. The prev. owner has a forester transmission rebuilt and put in but they also changed the diff in it to a 3.90 to match the rear that was in it originaly. So the shop put in a forester diff and 97 legacy axels, to match the trans well that lasted 2 minutes of driving till the diff locked up and broke. so i replaced the rear diff with a 3.90 and 93 legacy axels. Alright to the problem the rear diff seams to have a more square bolt pattern and the drive shaft seems to be more rectanguler bolt pattern, so what kind of drive shaft can i use that will bolt to the diff and mount up with no issues its a 93 legacy L Auto.

Your best bet is probably to swap the pinion flange from the old diff to the new one. That one big bolt in the center should come right off with air tools.

I think it's a 30mm, but it's been a while since I've disassembled one.
